Family

What does it mean to be a family? It means to share something in common, whether it is blood, perhaps marital ties, or even a place of gathering. Some people have found family in their religious community, some would say at work, without a doubt I have found my family and community at Chico High. I haven't written a blog post in a while and it's hard to get out of a rut sometimes but it is easy to write about something you love. I've gone to Chico High for four years and have seen and done things I couldn't have imagined and freshman me would be so surprised, but through it all my panther family has been with me.

They have helped me grow and thrive in so many ways, accepting me as I am and creating new opportunities. Sometimes through adversity I had to find a path and sometimes with teamwork we built each other up.

I feel good about my contribution to my school. And I know that Chico High, all of the memories, and all of the people I have met will stay in my heart.

My advice is find a family that stands with you and stand for what you believe in and who let's you grow. I'd like this blog and all women to create a family and if it starts with a few posts every once in a while I'm fine with that.
