Welcome to a new blog in female empowerment! A little of my background before we dive into the present and future of this blog; my name is Adela Carrillo, my mom and I founded a small organization called Girls are Leaders when I was 9 and it has existed in a fluid state in my life since then. A blog was always in my dreams, taking my voice to the center stage in a website of my own, and finally, here I am. I'm so excited to create an environment where female leadership is grown and fostered. I learned with Girls are Leaders that the future of women in the workplace is in our young girls. This is why it is so important to me that the advice and experience of businesswomen reach the newest generation. That is the purpose of AGIW, to connect aspiring girls, those with dreams and will, and inspiring women, who have lived and learned their way through professional life as a female. While I am only a humble start-up, I would like to create a place for women to publish their work about being female leaders for other women to use their wisdom and knowledge in their own lives and careers, and I would like you to be a part of this journey with me.
