Growth always begins from within
If we desire to change the world, the status quo, and the whole structuring of our society, we must start with the individual. Each woman must know her strength in order to grow it and use it. This page of the website is dedicated to providing resources for you to grow personally and professionally. Once this process is started (spoiler alert; it never truly ends) we can move on to changing everything else, like the whole world, which is found on the next page - ALL OF US.
Join me and many of your fellow women on a journey to growing and finding support for who you are, because you are wonderful.

book list
Part of AGIW's mission is to educate women and girls on their potential in business. In addition to blogs like this one, books provide women with perspectives and wisdom not found elsewhere. Below are books I personally recommend and links to where they can be purchased!

The 21 Indispensable Qualities of a Leader
Recommended to me by a teacher this book is a great guide for simple self-improvement and leadership advancement

Brave Not Perfect
More of a wake-up call than a piece of literature. This book brings to light how girls and boys are raised differently and how we can inspire bravery in our girls

Seven Brave Women
My all-time favorite inspirational kids book, highlighting generational strength

It's Not Hysteria
Healthy women are essential to empowered women. If we are lost in a land of health struggles and confusion we can't live our lives and create the paths that we want. This book explains women's reproductive health in way that opens the door for everyone.

Capital Intentions
Take a journey through San Francisco in the 1850s. The gold rush is in full swing and so are the women who are entering society as entrepreneurs. This book explores who those women were, what businesses they started, what successes and setbacks they had, and their monetary intentions for being entrepreneurs. While being educational it is a fun read to see that these women helped pave the road for us and those after us.
the internet
There are endless sites on the internet that can aid in self-growth and empowerment, unfortunately, there are not endless gold mines. I have curated a list of sites and videos I have personally benefited from and that I think are powerful and reliable.

I discovered this website some time ago and I think it is a really healthy female empowerment community.
